Limp Bizkit

Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water
Limp Bizkit album cover

Reviewed November 12, 2000
Fred Durst, I am disappointed. After two great albums, Limp Bizkit released the mediocre Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water . The songs on this latest release sound like the ones that were cut from Significant Other  - maybe because they weren't of high enough quality and/or because they didn't fit the theme of the previous album.

Chocolate Starfish  doesn't seem to have any central purpose other than to sell a few more copies. There's nothing truly catch or meaningful on this record. There are a couple decent songs; "Hot Dog" amusingly rips apart Trent Reznor - not the usual butt of musicians' jokes. And "Boiler" tells about a turning point in Durst's life.

Since there's so little to keep me listening to Chocolate Starfish , I can only give it 1.5 of 5 stars.
